Position Title:  Procurement Manager - Intercompany Transactions and Minor Procurement

Reports To:Senior Director, Project Procurement

Position Summary:

 

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities, relating to Intercompany Transactions and Minor Procurement.  This role will focus on ensuring the titmouse, efficient and cost-effective acquisition of Major Equipment including Batteries, EMS and PCS products as well at the minor procurement of site and office supplies and services. This role involves working closely with global internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and best industry practices. Experience with utility-scale battery energy storage related procurement transactions, the ability to interpret contracts, and SAP is essential.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The successful candidate will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Manage and ensure that materials, equipment, and supplies are properly and timely ordered and delivered so that the company's projects function smoothly.
  • Manage and coordinate onboarding procedures of suppliers, including the execution of non-disclosure agreements and anti-bribery and corruption forms.
  • Manage RFP/RFQ and vendor selection process for minor procurement.
  • Manage intercompany pricing for energy storage equipment.
  • Establish and regularly improve procurement policies and standard operational procedures for purchasing, communicate the policies and procedures to all employees, and monitor the implementation of the policies and procedures.
  • Create monthly reports of intercompany and minor procurement-related activities.
  • Maintain database of major equipment pricing.
  • Act as a liaison to customers, project teams, and suppliers

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

 

Minimum capabilities will include the following:

 

  • 10 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years experience in utility scale battery energy storage procurement and contracting
  • Experience with PR/PO/STO functions in SAP is essential
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline from a university or college.
  • Solid and effective interpersonal and communication skills (including oral, written, and visual).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally with colleagues as well as externally with suppliers.
  • Experience managing a global supply chain
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; acute awareness and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is key to this position.
  • Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) if required.
  • Valid driver’s license, valid insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Travel is required up to 25% of the time.
